Deekah is a black woman entertainer with nearly 20 years spent recording, performing, writing music and teaching. Her experience hosting, curating events and band leading continue to present countless opportunities for her to work with artists such as DOWNTOWN BROWN, DUANE, and Jessica Care Moore’s Black Women Rock Orchestra, in addition to being cast in Icelandic performance artist Ragnar Kjartansson's "Woman in E” in winter 2016 at Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.
