Detroit-born Deekah Rox is a dynamic singer-songwriter, Program Director of Girls Rock Detroit and founder of the Cosmic Slop Rock Festival. She has spent the better part of the last twenty years recording, performing, writing and teaching music. Having been in private music lessons and youth theater since age 13, she cherishes the time she spends passing on all that she has learned about music and live stage performance to her private students at Third Wave Music in Detroit.

Called “…a force to be reckoned with…” by the Detroit Metro Times, most recently Deekah’s “gut wrenching vocals” can be heard backing up Downtown Brown on their 2018 release Califlorida in the song “Love Kitchen”, produced by bassist Norwood Fisher, founding member of the bandFishbone.
